Outside of my private counselling practice, I also provide a range of academic services for counselling practitioners, trainees and students.

As a psychologist, counsellor and academic, I have experience providing support and constructive feedback for a broad range of writing projects, academic articles, and reflective portfolios.

I'm the counselling specialist on the team at Post-Graduate Proof-Reader - a team of freelance academics who provide specialist proof-reading services and subject-specific feedback to academic clients.

Proof-reading

Checking spelling, grammar, word usage, and basic structure

£15 per 1000 words

Subject-specific feedback

As a counsellor myself, I can provide specific feedback on the content and structure of counselling-related writing, including:
- reflective writing
- original qualitative research
- professional portfolios

£21.50 per 1000 words
(proof-reading and feedback: £26.50 per 1000 words)

Formatting

If you're stuck with formatting in Word (such as creating appropriate headers, table of contents, or ensuring your font style is consistent throughout), I can support you in producing a clear and professional document

£12 per hour

Tutorials

We can arrange one-off or regular tutorial sessions via Zoom, to go through feedback, aspects of your academic or reflective writing, or discuss your ongoing professional development.

£80 per 1 hour tutorial (includes preparation)
